 Memorials are preferred.

Cooper Kelly Schieckoff-Machan was born Nov. 10, 2008, in Aberdeen.

He was such a happy boy and touched the lives and hearts of many and brought such joy to everyone. These people included his family, friends, classmates, teachers, therapists, doctors and especially the nurses at Avera Hospitals in Sioux Falls, Aberdeen, and Pierre.

Although Cooper was not with us for long enough, he was able to demonstrate the preciousness, yet fragility of life. We treasured every moment we had with our little angel.

He is survived by mom, Jeni; dad, Ron; brothers, Jace and Aiden; Grandma and Grandpa Schieckoff; Grandma and Grandpa Humphrey; Grandpa Machan; Great-Grandma and Grandpa Harsin; Great-Grandpa Johnson; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved him very much.

Thank you Cooper for inspiring all those around you, especially Auntie Jessica and your "tubie friend" Lucas.

Grandma Nona - we love you and you will always have a special place in our hearts.

Special thanks to all the nurses at Avera Hospitals for your loving care.

"Those we have held in our arms for a little while,

we will hold in our hearts forever."
