Agnes Leona Raugutt

 The funeral service for Agnes Leona Raugutt, 86, of West Fargo and formerly of Ellendale, N.D., will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at Zion Lutheran Church in Ellendale. The Rev. Tom Eckstein will officiate.

 Burial will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, rural Monango, N.D., in the spring.

 There will be a prayer service at 7 p.m. Tuesday with visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

 Agnes died March 6, 2013, at Essentia Health in Fargo.

 Agnes Leona Haase, daughter of Gustave and Helena (Siewert) Haase, was born Sept. 7, 1926, on the Haase family farm, near Merricourt in Dickey County, N.D. She was baptized on Dec. 26, 1926, in Merricourt Congregational Church by the Rev. F. Gross. Agnes attended country school.

 She was united in marriage to Arthur Gordon Raugutt on Nov. 15, 1951, in Concordia Lutheran Church in Jamestown by the Rev. W.W. Keller.  They resided on the Raugutt family farm near Merricourt, where they raised crops, livestock and poultry. Agnes continued to live on the farm, while operating the poultry business after her husband Art's untimely death in 1977. She retired in 1987, and in the summer of 2002, she moved to an apartment in Ellendale, where she lived until March 2010. She currently resided at Sheyenne Crossing in West Fargo.

 She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Ellendale, and a former member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Monango, and Merricourt Congregational Church. She had been a trustee at St. Paul's Lutheran Church and was also a founder of Merricourt Fire District.

 Agnes is survived by her four children: Kathleen (Mike) Young of Merricourt, N.D., Kevin (Sharon) Raugutt of Edgeley, N.D., LaVon (David) Wells of Omaha, Neb., and Lisa (Doug) Thompson of West Fargo, N.D.; five siblings: Leonard (Shirley) Haase of Sioux Falls, S.D., Violet Nell of Great Falls, Mont., Edward (Bev) Haase of Fullerton, N.D., Harold (Mary) Haase of Monango, N.D., and Leah Nicholson of Great Falls, Mont.; eight grandchildren: Ronald and Daniel Bjur, Spencer and Jordan Raugutt, Kristen and Thomas Wells and Christian and Zachary Thompson; and one great-granddaughter, Ashlee Bjur.

 Her parents, husband, and one brother, Roland Haase, preceded her in death.

 Casketbearers will be Ronald Haase, Robert Haase, Martin Haase, Owen Raugutt, Ronald Bjur and Daniel Bjur.

 The organist will be Marilyn Burow and there will be special music by Doug Thompson.

 The family prefers memorials to St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Monango or Merricourt Cemetery Fund, c/o Kulm Congregational Church.

 Carlsen Funeral Home of Ellendale has been entrusted with arrangements.
