Joann "Jody" Glover was born Oct. 7, 1942, in Louisville, Ky., to Bob and Olivia House. Her father was commissioned in the U.S. Navy and served in the South Pacific during World War II. Jody was raised by her grandparents, Carl and Bertha Bareither, in Eureka, during the period of her formative years and it remained some of her fondest memories of childhood. Granny and Grandpa Bareither helped form her vision of the future, as well as her strong practice of caring for others.
Jody married Jim Glover on Oct. 16, 1968, in Aberdeen, retired from nursing, and became a "stay at home" mom to raise her three boys born in four years. She was a "Swim Mom" and cheerleader for swimming, dance and other athletic activities that the boys participated in, as well as a volunteer in the Roncalli School system. She also found time to participate and help in many of her husband's work activities.
Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Jim of Northfield, Minn.; her sons, Jason and wife, Laura, and grandchildren: Megan, Kathleen, Daniel, Sarah and Michael of Sioux City, Iowa; Jeff and wife, Michelle, of Minneapolis; Jamie and grandsons: Alex and George of Burnsville, Minnesota; her stepchildren: David, Todd, Rod and Jackie; her mother, Olivia House; and brother, Bob House of Trinidad, Colo.; and her sister, Barb, and husband, Michael Robinson, of Grand Junction Colo.
She was preceded in death by her father and grandparents.
