Mildred Sukut Buising

 Funeral service for Mildred Sukut Buising, 83, of Aberdeen will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Aberdeen. The Rev. Kevin Bergeson will officiate.

 Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens at Aberdeen.

 Visitation will be Monday from 3 to 8 p.m. and at 7 p.m. there will be an informal time for sharing stories of Mildred.

 Mildred died Friday, Oct. 19, 2012, at Avera St. Luke's Hospital.

 Mildred Durr, daughter of Gotthilf and Kathryn (Lebedof) Durr, was born Dec. 8, 1928, in Aberdeen, S.D. She attended elementary school at a country school in Logan County, five miles southwest of Fredonia, N.D. She moved with her parents in October 1942 to Aberdeen. She attended Monroe Junior High School for one year and then graduated from Central High School with the class of 1947.

 She was united in marriage to Harold Sukut on July 20, 1947. They lived in Aberdeen for most of their marriage. Harold died Sept. 1, 1975.

 She was united in marriage to Russell Buising of Conde, S.D., on Oct. 1, 1977. They lived on the farm. Russell died Feb. 6, 2007, and Mildred shortly thereafter moved to Aberdeen.

 Mildred loved spending time with her children and their families. She enjoyed bowling, crocheting and gardening.

 She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and the American Legion Auxiliary in Conde.

 Mildred is survived by eight children, Karla Cook of San Antonio, Texas; Duane (Gloria) Sukut of Aberdeen; Robert (Connie) Sukut of Rapid City; Cindy (Joe) Martin of Hudson, Colo; Harold "Harry" (Jerena) Sukut of Hecla, S.D.; Randy (Linda) Sukut of New Ulm, Minn; Bruce (Carol) Sukut of Aberdeen; and Tim (Tina) Sukut of Sioux Falls; 17 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

 She was preceded in death by both husbands, one grandson, Steven Milbrandt, two brothers, Wilbur and Harry Durr, and three sisters, Luella Miller, her twin sister, Merle Miller, and Jeanette Steen.

 Honorary Casketbearers will be Mildred's grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her friends.

 The casketbearers will be Mildred's grandchildren: Sol Sukut, Quentin Sukut, Robert Ramirez, Travis Sukut, Jeramie McInerney, Scott Sukut, Russell Sukut and Mike Bareth.

 The organist will be Arliss Alberts, soloist is June Martell and the readers will be Sandra Frickson and Tanya Thom.

 The family prefers memorials to Aberdeen Area Humane Society.

 Carlsen Funeral Home and Crematory of Aberdeen has been entrusted with arrangements.
