Margaret D. Froke, 85, of Watertown passed away Monday, April 8, 2013, in Watertown. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 13, 2013, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Vienna with Pastor Keith Garness officiating. Dorothy Fuller will be the organist and Diane Goddard will be the soloist accompanied by Jerry Goddard.
Interment will be at Vienna Lutheran Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 12, 2013, with an Eastern Star Service at 7 p.m. at Wight, Comes and Sogn Funeral Chapel in Watertown.
Pallbearers will be: Eric Froke, Brandon Kucker, Levi Froke, Conner Froke, Landon Froke and Krista Froke.
Honorary pallbearers will be: Abigail Muniz, Angel Lee, Carson Froke and Danielle Froke.
Margaret Delores Froke was born April 12, 1927, in Watertown, S.D. She grew up in the Watertown and Florence area, graduating from Florence High School in 1945. She then worked as a secretary for the Watertown Chamber of Commerce.
Margaret married Merle Peter Froke on Jan. 5, 1952, in the Helgen Lutheran Church in rural Florence. She assisted Merle with rural mail delivery and was Merle's business partner in sales, including Froke Monument Service and the M & M Standard in Vienna. She was a loving housewife and devoted mother and grandmother. Margaret enjoyed spending time with her family, baking, cooking, decorating her home, eating out and was an accomplished shopper.
Margaret and Merle were longtime members of the Eastern Star. Merle passed away on Feb. 1, 2005.
Margaret is survived by her children: Mark (Kathy) Froke of Vermillion, Marsha (Larry) Kucker of Sioux Falls, Marla (Ralph) Boynton of Gillette, Wyo., Bob Froke of Aberdeen, Doug (Coleen) Froke of Detroit Lakes, Minn., and Brad (Monica Muniz) Froke of Casper, Wyo.; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother and her husband.
