Mass of Christian burial for Pauline "Polly" Lussem, 86, of Aberdeen will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 19, 2013, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 409 Third Ave. S.E., Aberdeen, with Father Shaun Haggerty presiding.
Burial will take place at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
Schriver's Memorial Mortuary and Crematory, 414 Fifth Ave. N.W., Aberdeen, is in charge of arrangements. Friends may sign her online guestbook at schriversmemorial.com.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday, at the mortuary with a liturgical wake service at 7 p.m. Visitation continues for one hour prior to Mass at the church on Friday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Aberdeen.
Pauline passed away Sunday, April 14, 2013, at her home.

Pauline "Polly" Graham was born on June 30, 1926, to Frank and Jane (Harkin) Graham in Norwalk, Iowa. She was raised and attended school in Norwalk, graduating from Norwalk Consolidated High School on May 20, 1945.
Pauline was united in marriage to Henry "Hank" Lussem in Des Moines, Iowa, on April 24, 1947. The couple made their home in Des Moines and then in Freeport, Iowa, for a short time, before moving to Aberdeen in 1961. In Aberdeen, Polly was employed as the secretary for Clark Title Company. She and Hank shared over 63 years of marriage before he passed away in June 2010. Polly continued to make Aberdeen her home until the time of her death.
Polly was an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She enjoyed volunteering for many organizations in the community, especially for Avera St. Luke's Hospital, where she gave of her time for 30 years.
Surviving Polly is her son, Michael (Cheryl) Lussem, of San Antonio, Texas; one brother, Jim (Rose) Graham, of West Des Moines, Iowa; two sisters: Teresa (Jack) Bussanmas of Norwalk, Iowa, and JoAnn (Merl) Thornburg of Jacksonville, Ark.; two grandchildren: Jenah (Brad) Bellamy and Fred (Sarah) Ossanna; and four great-grandchildren.
Polly's parents; husband; and daughter, Judy Lussem, preceded her in death.
