Mass of Christian burial for Matilda "Tillie" M. Wolf, 83, of Aberdeen will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 409 Second Ave. N.E., Aberdeen, with Father J. Joseph Holzhauser presiding. Burial will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery. Luncheon and fellowship will follow at Schriver's Memorial Fellowship Center.
Schriver's Memorial Mortuary and Crematory, 414 Fifth Ave. N.W., Aberdeen, is handling arrangements.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, at the mortuary, with a liturgical wake service at 7 p.m. Visitation continues one hour before Mass at church Wednesday.
Matilda passed away Friday, May 3, 2013, at Aberdeen Health and Rehab. Blessed be her memory.
Matilda "Tillie" M. Kocher was born Oct. 29, 1929, to Joseph and Rosina (Imberi) Kocher in Faulkton. At a young age, she and her family moved to Aberdeen, where Tillie attended St. Mary's Parochial School and graduated from Aberdeen Central High School with the class of 1947. Following graduation, Tillie became employed with the Coca-Cola Company.
Matilda was united in marriage to Michael W. Wolf on June 16, 1948, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Aberdeen. Their union was blessed with two children, David and Sheila. The family made their home in Aberdeen, where she and her husband co-owned and operated Aberdeen Tinning and Roofing Company. Tillie and Michael shared over 46 years of marriage before he passed away on Dec. 20, 1994. She became a resident of Aberdeen Health and Rehab in January 2013, and continued to reside there until the time of her death.
Tillie was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She enjoyed being a homemaker and loved raising her children. In her spare time, she also enjoyed doing embroidery.
Blessed to have shared her life are her children: David Wolf of Reno, Nev., and Sheila (Dave) Silvernail of Aberdeen; five grandchildren: Jason (Sarah) Silvernail, Carter (Sara) Silvernail, Nathan (Melissa) Silvernail, Heather Wolf and Travis Wolf; nine great-grandchildren; and one sister, Margaret Ochs of Palm Dale, Calif.
Tillie's parents; husband; three brothers; seven sisters; and one great-grandson preceded her in death.
