Pasture and grassland near the North Dakota state line burned Monday afternoon in McPherson County, according to the sheriff's office.
The fire was reported about 3 p.m. near the intersection of 101st Street and 340th Avenue. A garbage fire spread to adjoining property, but nobody was hurt and no structures were damaged, according to the sheriff's office.
The fire was about a mile south of the state line south of Ashley, N.D. The Eureka Fire Department responded and was on the scene for a few hours, according to the McPherson County Sheriff's Office.
