Aberdeen: The funeral for Florence E. Tobiason, 93, will be 2 p.m. Thursday, June 6, 2013, at Spitzer-Miller Funeral Home, 1111 S. Main St., in Aberdeen, with Pastor Tom Haggar officiating.

 Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

 Florence passed away Sunday, June 2, 2013, at the Bethesda Home in Aberdeen, surrounded by her loving family.

 Closed-casket visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of service, with family present, Thursday, June 6, at Spitzer-Miller Funeral Home.

 Florence was born in Pollock to Fred and Amanda (Johnson) Pudwill. When Florence was about 11 years old, the family moved to the Hecla area, and Florence graduated from Hecla High School. She attended Northern Teachers College and taught in rural schools for three years.

 Florence married Irvin Tobiason on Dec. 14, 1940. They farmed in the Hecla area until 1945, when they bought a farm south of Ipswich. Upon retirement in 1981, they moved to their home in Aberdeen. In 2003, Florence moved to Angelhaus in Aberdeen, where she resided until October 2012, when she moved to Bethesda Home.

 Florence is survived by her husband of 72 years, Irvin Tobiason, Aberdeen; her son, Gary (Karen) Tobiason, Hill City; one granddaughter, Dawn (Toby) Olsen, Savage, Minn.; two great-grandchildren: Mitchell ( Breanna) Olsen, Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., and Taryn Olsen, Spearfish; one great-great-grandson, Braiden Olsen; and two brothers: Wilbur Pudwill, Redfield, and Jerry Pudwill, Orange, Calif.

 She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters: Gladys Reneau and Lenora Kahlen; and three brothers: Clayton, Dewayne and Charles Pudwill.

 In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials.
