Aberdeen: Monica M. Palmer, 90, of Aberdeen passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2013, at Aberdeen Health and Rehab.

 Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 17, 2013, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 409 Second Ave. N.E., Aberdeen, with Father J. Joseph Holzhauser officiating. Burial follows at St. Mary's Cemetery.

 Schriver's Memorial Mortuary and Crematory, 414 Fifth Ave. N.W., Aberdeen, is in charge of arrangements. Friends may sign her online guestbook at schriversmemorial.com.

 Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary, with a liturgical wake service and rosary to be held at 7 p.m. Visitation continues for one hour prior to Mass at the church on Monday.

 Monica M. Keller was born on Feb. 18, 1923, to William and Elizabeth (Keller) Keller at Hague, N.D. She was raised and attended school in this area and graduated from Hague High School.

 Following graduation, Monica taught in rural schools for two years before moving to Aberdeen, where she worked for Siebrecht Floral and Weber Floral.

 Monica was united in marriage to Joe C. Palmer on Feb. 18, 1950, in Aberdeen. Their union was blessed with two children, James and Joan. Due to Joe's employment, the family traveled to various locations throughout South Dakota until 1960, when they moved back to Aberdeen. Monica continued to make Aberdeen her home until the time of her death.

 Monica was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Aberdeen. She enjoyed spending time outdoors tending to her garden. Monica especially loved spending time with her family.

 Blessed to have shared her life are her husband of more than 63 years, Joe C. Palmer, of Aberdeen; her daughter, Joan Palmer of Aberdeen; two grandchildren, Drew (Anna) Palmer and Bryan Palmer; one great-granddaughter, Alaire Palmer; one brother, Ed (Mary) Keller of Aberdeen; and one daughter-in-law, Debra Palmer of Pierre, S.D.

 Monica's parents; son, James; two brothers, James Keller and William Keller; and one sister, Mary Dabbert; preceded her in death.
