Beverly Young

Aberdeen: The funeral service for Beverly Young, 63, of Aberdeen will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 2, 2013, at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Aberdeen, with Pastor George Shaver officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Aberdeen. Beverly died Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at Aberdeen Health and Rehab.

 Visitation will be from 1 to 7 p.m., with family present from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, July 1, at Spitzer-Miller Funeral Home, 1111 S. Main St., Aberdeen.

 Beverly Ann Maier was born March 8, 1950, to Walter and Lillian (Burr) Maier in Eureka, S.D. She grew up and attended school there. Her family later moved to Aberdeen and she graduated from Central High School.

 Beverly married Gabriel Young on March 2, 1977, in Aberdeen. They have made Aberdeen their home since. Beverly worked at Fischer's Good Foods on Main Street in Aberdeen as a waitress. She was a loving wife and devoted homemaker.

 Beverly was a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Aberdeen. She will be greatly missed.

 Grateful for having shared her life are her husband, Gabriel, Aberdeen; two brothers: Jerry (Candy) Maier, Virginia and Gary (Karen) Maier, Aberdeen; and one sister, Sally Maier, Texas.

 Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Lillian Maier.

 Casketbearers will be Jesse Wolter, Scott Mettler, Jonathan Maier, Timothy Schwabe, Michael Hottman and Roger Weifenbach.
