Sally K. (Triske) Gorman, age 75, of St. Louis Park, Minn. passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Sept. 12, 2012.
Preceded in death by parents, A.C. and Alice Moore; husbands, Arne Gorman; and Dan Triske Sr.
Survived by children: Tom (Sylvia) Triske of Indianapolis, Ind., Janelle Amendola and fiance Paul of Eden Prairie and Dan (Kris) Triske Jr. of Minnetonka; stepchildren: Jack Gorman of Hopkins and Steve (Diane) Gorman of Edina; seven grandchildren: Alexandria, Mariah, Jason (Micki), Jeremy, Hannah, Hailey and Kalli; two great-grandchildren: Robert and Payton; sisters: Mary Brokken (Jeff Wattenbarger) of Palm Springs, Calif. and Rebecca (Richard) Gugliotta of Bronx, N.Y.; nieces, nephews & friends.
Sally was born in Grand Forks, N.D., on Nov. 4, 1936. She was the first graduate with a degree in elementary education from the University of ND. She taught school in North Dakota and Minnesota for 20 years. Sally was a childcare director in Aberdeen, S.D., Duluth, Minn. and Richfield, Minn. She loved bowling, golf, fishing, playing cards, going to the meat raffle and the casino.
Sally was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and a friend to all who knew her and she will be greatly missed.
Memorial service 1 p.m. Sunday, with visitation one hour prior to the service at Washburn-McReavy Hopkins Chapel.
Reception to follow at the Elk's Club in Hopkins. Interment Fort Snelling Cemetery.
