Joy 'Lolly' Bauer

Joy "Lolly" Bauer, 74, of Webster died on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013, at her home in Webster.

 Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 27, 2013, at Christ the King Catholic Church in Webster. Inurnment will be in the Webster Cemetery.

 Friends may sign the register book at Fiksdal Funeral Service in Webster on Thursday 2-4 p.m. and then continuing at the church for a Rosary at 7 p.m.

 Joy Lea "Lolly" Roth was born on Wednesday, March 8, 1939, to Dewey B. and Arlene (McMahon) Roth at Webster. She grew up in Webster and attended Webster High School.   On April 3, 1957, she was united in marriage to Lambert Bauer at Fort Hood Army Base in Texas. In 1959, the couple moved to Sioux Falls and then in 1966, they moved to Webster. The couple owned L&L Lanes, which they operated to the present time. Lolly also sold real estate for many years in the area. Along with the bowling alley, she was a lead singer and guitar player in The Lady Bugs band, along with her sisters. She had a great love for their music.

  Lolly was a loving, hardworking, happy mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She had a bright outlook and a great sense of humor, even when times were hard. The love of her life was her husband, Lambert, her children, grandkids, great-grandkids and her music.

 She will be greatly missed.

 Lolly passed away on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013, at her home near Webster at the age of 74 years, 6 months and 13 days.

 Survivors include her husband, Lambert; five sons: Randy (Lila), Bret (Barb), Ron (special friend, Tina), Mark (Val) and Scott (Pam); one daughter, Cheryl (Bob); 20 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a sister, Joan Mathiason; and one brother, Dave (Linda) Roth.

 She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers: Myron and Dewey; and two sisters: Bonnie and Kay.
