Arwood Floyd Johnson was born on May 16, 1952, to William Brooks Sr. and Norma Ione (Kuehl) Johnson on the family farm near Sitka, where he still lived. He was baptized and confirmed at the St. Jacobi Lutheran Church, where he was a lifetime member.
After high school graduation, he worked for Milwaukee and Burlington Northern Railroad. Following a back injury, he worked, when possible, for Aero Dyna Kleen. In later years, Arwood took care of his brother, Forrest, who had a kidney transplant and was also helping out Leo Berens. Arwood enjoyed hunting and fishing with his brothers and nephews, and gardening. He loved cooking for his family and friends, or anybody that would stop by, he fed.
He will be greatly missed by his family, especially his nieces and nephews who looked to him for advice, for anything from hunting, cooking, and to fixing anything. He was a fountain of knowledge. He remembered every birthday from the oldest nephew to the youngest great-nephew.
Arwood is survived by his brother, Brooks (Carol) Johnson Jr., Mobridge; sisters: Roberta Perman, Aberdeen, and Ione Enderson, Glenham.
