James Edward Tosh Jr. was born in Louisville, Ky., on Oct. 3, 1954, to James and Audrey (Dinger) Tosh Sr.
Jim moved to South Dakota in 1960, and attended schools in Hecla, Britton, and Aberdeen. He graduated from Central High in 1972.
He married Julie Hansen in 1979. Jim worked at K.O. Lee Co. and for the city of Aberdeen. In 2000, he started Nite Life Limo Service. He recently worked at Harr Motors.
He was a demo derby enthusiast and participant. He loved building, collecting and selling model cars as well as classic cars. He was a member of a local car club and enjoyed car shows more than ever. He had two children whom he loved more than anything, his daughter, Jennifer Leigh Tosh of Watertown, Minn., and his son, Jamison Skyler Tosh of Aberdeen. His greatest love was his grandson, Kamren James Tosh and he was anxiously awaiting the arrival of his second grandson.
Jim had recently been in a car accident, but recovered well. On Oct. 10, he suffered a massive heart attack and was taken from us all too soon.
Jim was a kind man, a man of generosity who would help the helpless and give hope to the hopeless. He was a loyal and caring man. We are all so fortunate and blessed to have had him as a part of our life.
Jim is survived by his daughter, Jennifer; his son, Jamison; his grandson, Kamren; and his brother, Steven Tosh.
He was preceded in death by his mother; father; and maternal and paternal grandparents.
There is a memorial fund in his name at any Wells Fargo Bank if anyone wishes to make a donation.
