Thomas "Skip" Leonard Sloan was born on April 8, 1936, in Aberdeen, S.D., to Thomas and Gertrude (Palmer) Sloan.
Thomas lived a life of love and kindness. He was always in a good mood and willing to help with any task or project. He loved spending time with family, playing the piano, playing cards and drinking coffee.
Some would say that Thomas was blessed to have us in his life, but the truth is, we were the one who were blessed to have him in ours. We truly miss you Skipper.
Survivors include two nephews: David (June) Ullman and Steve DeCory; and one niece, Janean (Scott) Olson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers: Robert, John, Raymond and Richard; and two sisters: Judith Sloan and Dorothy Ullman.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, staff and adult day care providers that cared for Skip over the past year as he battled cancer.
