 Andrew Harty, 83, of Loves Park died Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, in Rockford. Born May 10, 1929, in Hosmer, S.D. Member of the Moose Club. He loved to fish, watch old westerns, work on cars and was an avid horseman.

 Survivors include daughters: Rose (Jim) Steadman, Deborah Harty, Vicky (Rick) Voeller and Cindy Gormly; sons: Dennis (Sandy) Harty and Todd (Robin) Harty; daughter-in-law, Nancy Harty; son-in-law, Glenn Bitz; second wife of 45 years, Janet (Huff) Harty; and their children, daughters: Angela (John) Thelen, Wanda (Anthony Ford) Herrera, Kim (Brian) Setinc, DaKneelyia Harty and Wendy (Mike Frey) Harty; son, Jack (Jodi) Harty; 26 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; sister, Jalby (Dick) Dunker; brother, Delbert (Mary) Harty.

 Predeceased by beloved grandfather, Wendelin Harty; devoted mother, Bertha (Weron) Harty; sister, Irene Stangl; brothers: Leo, Wilbur, Ervin and John Harty; daughters: Roxanne and Andrea Harty and Peggy Bitz; son, Craig Harty; granddaughter, Miranda Adema; former wife, Neoma (Boulais) Hagan.

 Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, at St. Bridget Catholic Church, 600 Clifford Ave., with visitation from 9:15 a.m. to service time. Laid to rest in Sunset Memorial Gardens, next to his son, Craig. Visitation also from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, in Delehanty Funeral Home Ltd., 401 River Lane.
