Victor A. Kamm was born on April 8, 1917, at Clear Lake, Wis. to Fred and Flossie (Clark) Kamm (on Easter Sunday) and his 95th was also on Easter Sunday. In 1921, they moved to Claremont, where he attended school. In 1934, they moved to a farm near Leola. On June 21, 1941, he married June M. Tschappat in Aberdeen. They made their home on a farm near Wetonka and later moved to a farm north of Leola. They retired in 1981, and moved to a country home on Richmond Road near Aberdeen. June died on June 4, 1985, in Aberdeen.

Victor was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, Aberdeen. He was very involved with his church in Leola and Aberdeen. He served on both church boards, was Sunday School Superintendent while in Leola and also served on the Leola Township board. He loved farming and mechanic work. While on the farm, he milked cows, had pigs and chickens and planted small grains and corn. He helped many neighbors with machinery problems or anything else he could do. When he moved to Aberdeen, he still had farming in his blood, so he helped several neighbors along Richmond Road with calving, lambing, horses, sheep and cattle plus fixing and repairing anything and everything. He also did field work and was in his height of glory. He also planted a big garden and gave lots of produce to his friends, neighbors and family. He would also do a little woodworking on the side. After moving into Davis Court, he fixed many jigsaw puzzles. He loved telling stories of his childhood and teenage years working for many different people to make some spending money.

Grateful for having shared Victor's life are his daughters: Sharon (Berwyn) Bain, Frederick, and Dixie (George) Littlefield, Great Falls, Mont.; grandchildren: Lana (Todd) Crawford, Melissa (Todd) Ellwein, Erika Molchan; great-grandchildren: Carli Ellwein, Carson Ellwein, Chandler Ellwein; stepgreat-grandchildren: Mitchell Crawford, Kelsey Crawford; sisters: Crystal Suurmeyer, Aberdeen, Donna Karr, Redfield, and Ardella (Ward) Casey, Jacksonville, Fla.; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding Victor in death are his wife, June Kamm; parents, Fred and Flossie Kamm; brothers: Lloyd Kamm and Marvin Kamm; sisters: Lylice Hehn, Bernice Turnwall and Jean Kamm.
