Aberdeen: The funeral service for Wyatt Wayne Johnson, 46, of Aberdeen will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 1, 2013, at Spitzer-Miller Funeral Home, with Major Marina Womack officiating. Burial will follow at Bath Memorial Cemetery, Bath. Wyatt died Saturday, April 27, at Avera St. Luke's Hospital.

 Visitation was from 1 to 7 p.m., with family present from 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at Spitzer-Miller Funeral Home, 1111 S. Main St.

 Wyatt Wayne Johnson was born Nov. 22, 1966, to Floyd and Margaret (McBurney) Johnson Jr. in Aberdeen. He grew up and attended school in Aberdeen, graduating from Central High School in 1986.

 Wyatt married Shirley Haider on Feb. 5, 1988, in Aberdeen. They continued to make Aberdeen their home over the years. Wyatt worked for Dougherty Construction and then for John's Tree Service for almost 15 years. He later worked for Kyburz-Carlson Construction for several years before his health forced him to quit in November 2012.

 Wyatt had a free spirit and loved to ride his Harley with his wife, Shirley. They took many trips together and loved going to Sturgis and riding through the hills and canyons. They also enjoyed dancing together. Wyatt liked to play pool and spend time with his many good friends. He was always willing to help someone in need and was a talented handyman. Spending time with his friends drinking coffee at the Millstone was a favorite pastime of his. Wyatt loved animals and especially loved his four special boys, Bandit, Buddy, Baby and Max.

 Grateful for having shared Wyatt's life are his loving wife of 25 years, Shirley, Aberdeen; three children: Chad (Kari) Casey, Aberdeen; Ryan King, Rochester, Minn.; and Ashlee King, Pierre; four brothers: Lloyd Stippich, Kent, Wash.; Leonard Stippich, Tacoma, Wash.; Roger (Lee) Johnson, Aberdeen; and Brian (Christy) Johnson, Aberdeen; three sisters: Susan Tofflemire, Tacoma, Wash.; Vickie (Henry) Hoerner, Aberdeen; and Ella (Tom) Sutton, Aberdeen; several grandchildren; a great-grandson; many nieces and nephews; and his extended family.

 Wyatt was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Margaret; and an infant niece, Tiffany Wright.
