Iva R. 'Keke' Brink

Aberdeen: Mass of Christian burial for Iva R. "Keke" Brink, 94, of Aberdeen will be 1 p.m. Monday, May 6, 2013, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 409 Second Ave. N.E., Aberdeen, with Father J. Joseph Holzhauser officiating. Burial follows at Riverside Memorial Park, Aberdeen.

 Schriver's Memorial Mortuary and Crematory, 414 Fifth Ave. N.W., Aberdeen, is in charge of arrangements. Friends may sign her online guestbook at schriversmemorial.com.

 Visitation will be from 4 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary, with a liturgical wake service at 5 p.m. Visitation continues for one hour prior to Mass at the church on Monday.

 Iva passed away Friday, May 3, 2013, at Aberdeen Health and Rehab. Blessed be her memory.

 Iva R. "Keke" Brink was born Feb. 18, 1919, in Lyons, Neb., to Ivan and Ruth (Joslin) Brink. At a young age, she and her family moved to Aberdeen, where she was raised and attended St. Mary's Parochial School.

 Keke worked for Cox's Bakery in Aberdeen and later in Mitchell. Following her return to Aberdeen, she became employed at the Coast-to-Coast Store and then worked at Dakota Midland Hospital until the time they closed. Keke went on to start her own day care business. She continued to make Aberdeen her home until the time of her death.

 Keke was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Aberdeen. In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting.

 Survivors include two sisters: Helen Crabtree of Aberdeen and Ida Reis of McAllen, Texas; one sister-in-law, Sandy Brink of Aberdeen; six nephews; and three nieces.

 Her parents; two sisters: Isabel Brink and Betty Stein; and one brother, Bob Brink; preceded her in death.
