Donald R. Heinle, 61, of Herried passed away May 10, 2013, at St. Alexius Medical Center, Bismarck, N.D. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at Peace Lutheran Church, Herreid, with Pastor Ramona Hayes officiating.
Don was born Oct. 30, 1951, to Albert and Clara (Harsch) Heinle at Ashley, N.D. He graduated from Wishek Public School in 1969. Don worked for a time at Dohn's Service, Wishek, N.D., then moved to Dickinson, N.D., where he worked at Coast to Coast. He moved to Eureka in February 1971 and worked for the Eureka Equity Exchange. In 1972, he moved to Lehr, N.D., and worked at the Eureka Equity Exchange Service Station.
Don married Annette Geiszler on Jan. 22, 1972. They moved to the Long Lake branch of the Exchange where he became a mechanic and lived there 11 years. In 1984, they moved to Herreid and worked for the Senftner GM dealer as a top notch mechanic/service manager for many years. Don worked for Huber & Son from 2004 to 2011, when he became ill. Don was a member of a rock 'n' roll band for a few years. He enjoyed going to car races and reading. He touched many lives with his dry humor and quiet way and will be greatly missed by his loving wife and family.
He is survived by his wife, Annette, Herreid; his daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Dean Schick of Bismarck, N.D./Herreid; son and daughter-in-law, Rob and Laura Heinle of Watertown; and four grandchildren: Payton, Josiah, Asher and Isabell; a sister, Mavis Rath of Bismarck; several nieces, nephews; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and special cats, Tiki and Tommy.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters: Luella Woehl, Geneva Geloff and Linda Berg; one brother, Elmer Heinle; and two brothers-in-law: Ray Rath and Loren Geiszler.
