The graveside service for Norma Jeanette Kuebler, 88, of Aberdeen and formerly of Mott, N.D., will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012, at the North Dakota Veteran's Cemetery in Mandan, N.D.
Norma died Tuesday, Oct. 30, at Avera St. Luke's Hospital, Aberdeen.
Spitzer-Miller Funeral Home, 1111 S. Main St., Aberdeen, is in charge of the arrangements.
Norma Jeanette Gifford was born on May 13, 1924, to John and Bertha (Svihovec) Gifford at Mott, N.D. This is the area she was raised and attended school.
On Feb. 8, 1943, Norma was united in marriage to Roland Herman Kuebler in Seattle, Wash. Five children were added to this union. The family returned to Mott, N.D., where Roland was employed with Mott Motor Company. Following relocations to Bismarck, N.D., and Mobridge, Roland and Norma retired and settled in Aberdeen. Roland passed away in June of 2010.
Norma was a member of the Mott American Legion's Women's Auxiliary. She enjoyed her time with family, watching television and shopping. She was a gifted cook and an avid reader.
Grateful for having shared Norma's life are her children: Judy (James) Peterson, Denver, Colo.; Patricia (Carrol) Varns, Hamilton, Ohio; John Kuebler, Hermosa; Deborah (Michael) Panuska, Kankakee, Ill.; and Victoria Hayes (Wade Lechner), Aberdeen; sister, Lois Burwick of N.D.; 10 grandchildren: and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roland Kuebler; parents, John and Bertha Gifford; two brothers; and one sister.
