Mass of Christian burial for Michael Fogel, 22, Aberdeen, will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2013, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Aberdeen, with Father Shane Stevens, celebrant. A private inurnment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens at a later date. Michael died on Friday, Aug. 2, 2013, at the Essentia Health in Fargo, N.D.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, Aug. 6, from 1 to 7 p.m., with family present from 5 to 7 and a wake service beginning at 7 p.m. at Spitzer-Miller Funral Home, 1111 S. Main St., Aberdeen.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials.
Michael Scott Fogel was born on Aug. 15, 1990, in Aberdeen, S.D., to Stan and Deb (Holm) Fogel. This is the area where he grew up and attended school. He graduated from Aberdeen Central with the class of 2009. He attended Presentation College for a year and half. He worked for Preston's Home Improvement until two weeks ago, when he went to work for Swanson Electric.
Michael attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Aberdeen. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and loved all sports, especially soccer. He had a big heart and loved his family and friends. He especially loved his girlfriend, Page. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Grateful for having shared Michael's life are his parents, Stan and Deb Fogel, Aberdeen; brother, Evan Fogel, Aberdeen; grandparents, Dennis and Linda Fogel, Aberdeen; special friend, Page Holm; his dog, Leddy; many uncles, aunts and cousins.
Michael is preceded in death by his grandparents, Melvin and Stella Holm.
