Edna Alvina Schneider, daughter of Katherine (Hauck) and Henry Schneider, was born Aug. 29, 1916, north of Java in Campbell County. She received her formal education at the Kundert School north of Java. As a young lady, she enjoyed serving people at several area restaurants. She also performed domestic duties for several households in Selby. Edna married Oscar M. Himrich on Feb. 20, 1941, in Selby.
