Viola Breen

 Viola Breen, 90, of Gettysburg passed away, Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, at Avera Prince of Peace Retirement Community, Sioux Falls.

 Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Gettysburg, with Father Jerry Kopel presiding. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Lebanon. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, with a 7 p.m. rosary service at the church.

 Viola Elizabeth Arbach was born Feb. 25, 1922, in Hoven to Mike M. and Rose (Hoffman) Arbach.

 On June 10, 1946, she married Harold Breen in Hoven and made their home on a farm near Seneca, where they raised their family. She always enjoyed her time gardening, reading and baking. In 1983, they moved into Gettysburg.

 Viola was a member of the Sacred Heart Altar Society and Potter County Extension Clubs.

 She is survived by her four children: Dianne Breen, Sioux Falls, Mary (Joe) Konst, Cary, N.C.,  Patrick, Seneca and Sandra (Scott) Diegel, Rapid City; 10 grandchildren: Timothy and Jason Konst, Sarah Price, Chris Breen, Rachael Schilder, Katie, Matthew, and Jeffrey Breen, Brandon and Courtney Diegel; and four great-grandchildren: Beau and Isaac Price, Jeremiah Diegel, Kinze Breen

 Viola was preceded in death by: her husband; her parents; daughter-in-law, Janet; grandson, Michael; one sister, Clara Rader; and two brothers: Paul and Jerome Arbach

 Luce Funeral Home of Gettysburg has been entrusted with Viola's arrangements.
