Marcella C. Heinz was born Dec. 28, 1923, to Herman and Susan (Pitz) Heinz at Ipswich. This is the area where she was raised and attended school.

Marcella was united in marriage to Leonard Strudle on Nov. 25, 1947, in Ipswich. The couple worked on the Strudle farm north of Ipswich until 1955, when they moved to Aberdeen.

They started Aberdeen Liquors, later converted into Strudle's C Store, which they owned and operated until their retirement in 1984. Marcella and Leonard shared 41 years of marriage before he passed away in 1998. Marcella continued to make Aberdeen her home until the time of her death.

Marcella was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Aberdeen. She enjoyed studying family genealogy and took pride in her flower garden, especially her African violets.

Above all, Marcella loved visiting and spending time with her family.
