Aberdeen: Hermina Kelly, 86 of Aberdeen died Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, at Avera St. Luke's Hospital in the presence of family after having suffered a stroke. A liturgical wake service will be prayed Sunday, Feb. 17, beginning at 7 p.m. and a Mass of Christian burial will be prayed Monday, Feb. 18, beginning at 2 p.m. Both liturgies will be held at St. Mary's Church, 409 Second Ave. N.E., in Aberdeen. Officiating will be son, the Rev. Mike Kelly, with Bishop Paul V. Swain and diocesan priests.

 Schriver's Memorial Mortuary and Crematory, 414 Fifth Ave. N.W., Aberdeen, is in charge of arrangements. Friends may sign her online guestbook at schriversmemorial.com.

 Memorials are preferred by the family.

 Hermina Rohrick was born May 2, 1926, to John and Katherine (Baumgartner) Rohrick in Ridgeview. She graduated from Linton High School. She married Edward C. Kelly on May 19, 1947, in Linton. They lived in Linton until November 1957, when they moved to Aberdeen.

 Hermina was a hard-working person with a passion for family, church and service to others. Her work included establishing the school lunch program for the Aberdeen Parochial Schools, managing Goodman News and Carrow's Formal Wear. After retiring, Hermina enjoyed many years of volunteer work at the Roncalli Nearly New Shop, where she built lifelong friendships.

 She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and was active in the CCD program as an educator. She participated in Altar Society, Catholic Daughters and volunteered for the St. Mary's Bazaar. Her strong faith was an inspiration to many.

 Hermina's faith, family and the many friendships made throughout her lifetime were invaluable to her. She enjoyed reading, baking the family favorites of kuchen and German noodles, cooking, sewing and playing rummikub and solitaire. She enjoyed visiting new places, but most treasured traveling to spend time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchilden.

 Hermina will be forever loved and missed by her four sons: Patrick Kelly (Barbara) of Bloomingdale, Ill.; the Rev. Mike Kelly of Groton; Tom Kelly (Winnie) of Aberdeen; and Jerry (Roberta) Kelly of Glendale, Ariz.; five daughters: Nancy Reiss (Larry) of Las Vegas, Nev.; Kathy Kelly of Savage, Minn.; Sharleen Berg (David) of Owatonna, Minn.; Mary Korthour (Todd) of Shakopee, Minn.; and Brenda Heier (Ed) of Prior Lake, Minn.; siblings: Jack, Henry and Eleanor; grandchildren: Shannon Watts (Jeremy), Ryan Kelly, Ross Kelly, Paul Kelly (Maira); Penny Truttmann (Sean), Sara Reiss, Nicole Kelly (Jay Belcher), Mikaela Kelly, Emily Berg (fiance Andrew Hayden), Michael Berg, Elizabeth Berg, Stasha Wuest (Matthew), Matthew Korthour, Megan Korthour, Rachael Heier, David Heier, Adam Heier; and great-grandchildren: Nathan Watts and Jacob Truttmann.

 She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; parents; grandson, Travis Kelly; and siblings: John, Joseph, Marie, Edward, Leo, Bernadine, Diane and Florine.

 Preparation of the gifts presented by Mikaela Kelly, Megan Korthour, Rachael Heier, David Heier and Adam Heier.

 Eucharist ministers will be Fr. Kelly's Emmaus-Support Priests.

 Lectors will be Stasha Wuest, Emily Berg and Elizabeth Berg.

 Casketbearers will be Shannon Watts, Nicole Kelly, Ryan Kelly, Ross Kelly, Michael Berg and Matthew Korthour.

 Organist will be Stephanie Raap. Soloist will be Camille Fischer.
