Osage City, Kan: William Reedy McClintock, 70, passed away July 24, 2013, at his home in Osage City, Kan. after a long illness.
William was born Oct. 14, 1942, at Los Angeles, Calif. He was raised by his grandparents, Gottbole and Lydia Reedy, Elsie Miller and Agnes Myers.
He moved to Bowdle and graduated from Bowdle High School in 1960.
He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. After he served, he lived in Sioux Falls.
He and his wife, Sherrie, started a successful tree service, which they ran for 20 years in Osage City.
They took arborist training at Kansas State University and finished their training with Les Pinkerton, K-State Forester. They pruned trees at Pomona Lake and Osage City.
William had one son and helped raise six other children with Sherrie. He also had 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services were held on July 29, 2013, at Osage City Baptist Temple. Ashes will be spread at a later date.
